Your itinerary
Day 1Arusha – Machame Gate – Machame Camp+
Transfer from Arusha for registration and a route briefing at Machame Gate. Begin the trek through the forest and settle in for your first night at Machame Camp.
Day 2Machame Camp – Shira Camp+
After breakfast, trek into the moorland zone with broad scenic views of the mountain before overnighting at Shira Camp.
Day 3Shira Camp – Barranco Camp+
Cross Kilimanjaro’s high-altitude landscape on an important acclimatisation day, finishing beneath the Barranco Wall for the night.
Day 4Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp+
Climb the Barranco Wall and continue across the southern circuit towards Karanga Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp+
Trek towards Barafu Camp, complete final summit preparations and rest after an early dinner.
Day 6Uhuru Peak summit – descent+
Set out very early for the summit, reaching Uhuru Peak when weather and mountain conditions permit. Descend to the lower camp for a well-earned overnight rest.
Day 7Final descent – Arusha+
Complete the final descent, exit the park and transfer back to Arusha, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
